Century's new Sail collection, designed by Allison Paladino was influenced by Paladino’s love of sailing and the crisp, clean white sails set against blue sky. The collection bridges the gap between modern and traditional with a hint of classical lines but a clean, sophisticated approach.
"I designed this collection because as a designer I could not find anything like this for my own projects. Outdoor collections these days seem to be either very boxy modern or too traditional and ornate,” says Paladino. “I wanted to create clean lines that would be very simple, soft and easy to use in all kinds of settings from more modern to traditional projects, pieces that I would want both for myself and my clients.”
The designs are materialized in a white powder coated aluminum and upholstery with the occasional tables featuring back painted white tempered glass tops. The collection consists of a sofa, lounge chairs with matching ottomans, occasional and cocktail tables as well as a square and rectangular dining table with dining arm and side chairs allowing the pieces to work in both smaller areas or pulled together to create a larger outdoor scape. The deep seating frames feature substantial cushions with a more plush sit than typical outdoor frames, and utilize Century’s Driluxe cores.
