Charlotte Moss Presents for DCOTA's Fall Market

With the colder weather starting to set in up here, what better time to be in Florida?  So when DCOTA was putting together the fabulous day of events for their fall market held on November 15th, Century was excited to be a part of it!  Introduced by Stylebeat blog's, Marisa Marcantonio, DCOTA presented Charlotte Moss as the afternoon keynote.  With a thoughtful discussion of inspiration and where it comes from centered around her new book "A Visual Life", Charlotte engaged the audience with her wit, wisdom, and beautiful imagery. Afterwards the guests were treated to a warm and tasty reception and book-signing in Century's showroom, where Charlotte's furniture for Century Icons is beautifully displayed.

Philadelphia Showroom Hosts Charlotte Moss

Century Showroom in Philadelphia welcomes Charlotte Moss
Last week our Philadelphia Showroom in the Marketplace Design Center, hosted a fabulous event with keynote speaker and Century Icon, Charlotte Moss.  With over 200 in attendance, attendees were treated to a wonderful presentation by Charlotte and a delicious reception by Marketplace Design Center!

With her new book hot off the press, Charlotte spoke about living a visual life and how our scrapbooks, collages and keepsakes inspire and influence our lives.  Titled "A Visual Life: Scrapbooks, Collages & Inspirations", Charlotte's presentation reflects a woman deeply connected to her environment and well versed in history as she discusses her own inspiration and personal reflections on design and style – and all the arts of living, from decorating to entertaining, gardening and more.

Witty, smart and funny, Charlotte Moss is indeed an Icon of good design and we are thrilled to be partnered with her on an exclusive collection of furniture, found only in Century Designer Showrooms.

What's New What's Next with Charlotte Moss and House Beautiful's Newell Turner

A Stunning Display: Charlotte Moss for Century Icons as seen in the Century Showroom at 200 Lex

Last Thursday, at 200 Lexington's annual What's New What's Next, Century Furniture was honored to present Charlotte Moss and House Beautiful's editor-in-chief, Newell Turner, for a discussion entitled "Collage-From Scrapbooks to Pinterest".  With the launch of Charlotte's latest book titled, Charlotte Moss A Visual Life and her new piece for the Century Icons collection, the Tupelo Scrapbooking Table both on display, it was a perfect afternoon to discuss just how we collect and showcase our memories, inspirations, and dreams.

To add to the buzz, House Beautiful launched their first Pinterest contest just a week prior, asking readers to create a board on House Beautiful's Pinterest page showing their dream living room.  All boards were then viewed by Newell and Charlotte who selected one lucky winner to receive our Tupelo Scrapbooking Table! The winner will have her brand new table in time for the holidays!  What a fantastic present!!

Charlotte Moss for Century Icons

This spring has been a whirlwind.  Celebrating our 65th year, my grandfather started Century in 1947, we had a lot on the agenda for April and May and so I find myself sitting here almost in July writing about this spring!

One highlight has been the official launch of our Charlotte Moss for Century Icons collection.  At Design ADAC on May 2nd, we celebrated with about 200 guests the launch of Charlotte's new collection for our Icons program.  Extremely thoughtful, detailed and entertaining, Charlotte kicked off the day with a standing room only presentation, and then together with the incredible team from Veranda, we enjoyed a fun and southern style reception in our showroom. What a day!

Full house for Charlotte's keynote presentation.
