Welcome to Details by Century

As Century breaks ground on our new showroom in High Point, what better way to share this exciting change than through a blog. It is no coincidence that this blog is being created during Century’s time of transformation, growth, and excitement. There is no better way to share our story.

Workers on site to break ground on our new
High Point Showroom space which will be located at 200 Steele.

When people think of furniture, they think of the pristine, finished pieces they see in magazines, retail stores, showrooms, or while cruising furniture market. Most of us do not see past the finished product and do not even entertain what it takes to get to that point. There is little comprehension about what it takes to design and make furniture or how much passion and narrative is involved in each and every piece.  We want to change that.

We know that every piece of furniture we make is going into someone’s home, to live amongst those they hold closest to their hearts.  Home is very personal, and we take the art of making furniture personally.  We want our customers to know the true romance of making their furniture. The untold story of manufacturing furniture, the art of making, creating and designing, is the drive for the creation of this blog, Details by Century.

Because each one of our team members shares the same passion and love for furniture, all members of the Century team will bring their expertise and knowledge to this blog. Our interior designers, experts on casegoods and outdoors, even our CEO will be involved. After all, Century is one big family.

From our factory to furniture market, to design 101 and designer features, we want to give you a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes and what it takes to make truly custom hand crafted furniture, what goes into the Details.
