Market to Market Journey Phase Three

Can you believe Market is just 4 weeks away?? On this journey to market we are busy finishing up our last orders for market. Our team of designers has gone room by room designing the 80,000 square feet of space here in our High Point showroom. Making our selections for upholstery and casegoods simultaneously allows us to be very creative and make the whole room very cohesive.

With our market orders into the factory, we are now moving all the pieces that are still in showroom. By sorting the furniture into a central place in each room we can decide where each piece should be for October Market. It's important for us to be organized in such a big showroom!

And now the fun begins! We have multiple trucks arriving to the showroom weekly from Hickory. Off the truck, into the freight elevator, up to the showroom, and into place.

Fresh off the truck- this sofa looks great!

It is amazing to see the pieces in all the new and different finishes! Here is a chest from our Madera collection finished in fossil.  Doesn't even look like the one in the catalog.
For another chest from our Milan collection we selected a Desert and Smoke combination. How pretty is that?!
Check out this great chair in a new fabric and finish for the Bob Timberlake area!

We love seeing how beautifully the pieces come out of the factory. Below is another gorgeous new fabric on the Trellis chair from our Oscar de la Renta collection!

We're so excited for the rest of the pieces to get to the showroom! And now I must get back to the floor to start the next step in the journey to market-  staging and propping the rooms.
Be sure to visit our showroom during market to see the final result.

2011 Hampton Showhouse: Joy Tribout

Oh what a house ......Traditional Home's 2011 Hampton Showhouse!
Oh what a night ...... at the gala opening!
Oh what a room ...... by Joy Tribout Interior Design!

Elegant and timeless this livable bedroom was a study in black and white accented with beige. It was so chic, just like the ladies that designed it - Joy and Tammy Tribout, designers based in St. Louis MO.

"Firm believers that one's home environment should elevate living on a daily basis, Joy and Tammy create beautiful interiors that support and enhance family life. Whether its enjoying a meal in a gorgeous dining room, cooking with family and friends in a sociable kitchen, enjoying cocktails at sunset on the patio or retiring in the evening to a beautiful bedroom, a Tribout-designed environment beacons one to linger and savor the moment." - an excerpt from the showhouse program

I'd say this beautifully designed guest room shows Joy and Tammy's gifted ability to design gorgeous environments for a well-lived life!

The furniture selected is from Century, the ladies combined our Weathered Pine and Chalk White finishes on the pieces. The accessories including the artwork and pillows are available through Joy's shop located in Ladue, MO (a suburb of St. Louis). Please be sure to visit Joy's website for additional details about her store, services and design projects.

This year's showhouse is open until September 4th, for more details click here.

Below are some additional detail shots of the room - enjoy!

Oscar de la Renta Home

September 1st, and with the turn of the calendar page I find myself welcoming a new season; the crisp days of Fall call for richer colors and luxurious textures - both in fashion and home design. I can think of no better synergy between the two than Oscar de la Renta's home collections. And I am just LOVING Miles Redd's (Creative Director for Oscar de la Renta Home) new installation at the Lee Jofa showroom in the D&D Building.

(Shown above our Tiered Chairside Table #609-639 in Jet finish - perfect as a bedside table. Also our Pagoda Dining Chair #60-3592 in Chalk White sits at the foot of the bed.)

This display heralds the launch of Oscar de la Renta's fabric collection for Lee Jofa, the latest of his home offerings which includes our furniture (featured prominently in these pictures). Sumptuous satins, rich crewels, exotic ikat patterns and saturated color make this simply a room 'to die for'!

(The "X" Book Shelf #609-777 in Jet high gloss enamel in the background holds a collection of art books; also serves well as a room divider and entertainment center.)

(At left, a Pagoda Dining Chair #60-3592 in Chalk White. In the background the Manhattan Room Divider #609-801 acts as a stand for the artwork.)

(A Brass Gallery Accessory Table #60G-630 sits next to the sofa arm)

(Regal Fluted Pedestals #609-718 in Distressed Mahogany flank the mantel. A Cigarette Table #60D-625M next to the chair provides a spot to set a drink. My favorite piece in the entire room is the Tortoise Parchment & Brass Cocktail Table #60T-611.)

Since the picture above does not do the cocktail table justice, I thought I would include a silhouette shot from our website.
Tres chic!!
